A STEAKHOUSE CHRISTMAS
From the moment you enter through the main gate, you will be captivated by the bright orange luminaries spread along the walkway and across the roof tops of the Western Village. On the front lawn, Santa and his reindeer wait to greet you. In the Steakhouse dining room you'll encounter garland and sparkly Christmas lights adorning the area above the 125 year old, full service Picketwire Bar. Prominent in a corner of the room, near the stage, is a uniquely decorated tree that might make Time Square jealous!
The Steakhouse was formerly the old Ute Theater once located in downtown Colorado Springs. In 1968, Russ Wolfe purchased the building scheduled for demolition, disassembled it, moved it to the Flying W and re-built it on the Ranch. The inside walls are decorated by 30 foot tall Indian Murals that are true works of art. Illumination is provided by antique, on of a kind, chandeliers that express the overall motif and help create the ambience. In this unique setting, you'll enjoy a sit down dinner complete with linen table cloths and complete table service provided by one of the entertainers. And with the addition of the Christmas decorations, the Steakhouse takes on a truly festive atmosphere.
For dinner, you may select the Cowboy size 13 oz Kansas City Strip Steak, flame grilled Rocky Mountain trout, BBQ chicken, BBQ pork ribs, or smoked beef brisket. Each entree is complimented with a crisp dinner salad topped by your choice of dressing, including our homemade honey mustard. The meal is completed with a foil wrapped potato, those special Flying W red baked beans and the melt in your mouth old fashioned buttermilk cowboy biscuits
After this sumptuous repast, enter into the spirit of the Holidays as the Flying W Wranglers present "A Cowboy Christmas." This fast paced, highly entertaining hour combines the traditional hymns and carols of Christmas with the songs of the season that express the heart of the Cowboy. The wranglers instrumental virtuosity and their beautiful three and four part harmonies wonderfully blend to create a musical treat that provides a reminder of the "Reason for the season," and encourages the heart and lifts the spirit of each audience member at this special time of the year.
The price for our Christmas dinner and show in the Steakhouse Friday and Saturday nights is $28.00 for the steak, $25.00 for the BBQ entrees and $13.00 for children 3 to 8 (BBQ items only). Sometimes we will open on Thursday and or Sunday nights.
Private parties can be arranged on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights.
