100% FREE EVENT FOR TEENS
When: Saturday, June 16th 2012 - 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Where: The Ute Theater at the Flying W Ranch
While traveling on business in Ecuador, co-owner of the Flying W Ranch Leigh Ann Thurston heard an extraordinary speaker addressing teens. There and then she decided that she wanted her high school children and their friends to hear first-hand the information being delivered. Thus the “Facts” evening was born. We hope you will understand the value of it and consider encouraging your teen to attend.
Today’s teenagers are facing enormous challenges when it comes to living life on a higher, abundant plane. Darkness is more aggressive than ever before. One area of ever increasing darkness is that caused by sexually transmitted diseases. The allure that has become a reality in today’s teen environment can potentially rob teens of that higher life that God has called them to. Facing temptations with potentially life changing consequences, today’s teen must hear straight talk about their choices and the need to make wise ones. Further to teach them about their incredible high value to God regardless of their past choices is of even more criticality. To turn from past mistakes, to make good choices, and to embrace the love of God and His highest and best for their lives must be heard by every teen. If we can start with just a few in Colorado Springs, it will be a good and lovely thing.
Youths from grade 8 to grade 12 are invited to attend this evening filled with powerful words, emotions, insights and honesty. Tackling this very tough subject is internationally acclaimed speaker Pam Stenzel. Every teen will be challenged to make a decision about the facts and statistics that Pam will deliver. Her informative mode of delivery, although humorous will be life changing for many. Pam travels the world speaking to over 500,000 teens yearly, telling it like it is, and knowing that teens will make better choices if they know what they are up against.
Starting at 7:30 pm on Saturday, June 16th teenagers throughout the area will gather in the Ute Theater located on the Flying W property within the western town. Music by New Life will welcome teens as Pam is preparing to deliver her facts. Following Pam's message, New Life's Youth Minister, Chad Prytula, will wrap up the evening talking from a man’s perspective and will deliver the powerful facts of each teens’ very high value to God.
Parents accompanying teens are encouraged to attend a separate function next door in the "Little Church on the Ranch" hosted by Cathy and Bill Sparks (Vice President of International Affairs US Navigators). Cathy and Bill will be conducting an interactive session on raising teenagers. This too will be worth your time.
Donations are welcome but not necessary. All proceeds for the evening will be donated to the Springs Rescue Mission for their opening of the Family Crisis Center in June. The center is located at Nevada and Las Vegas . Units will be available for 6-9 months for homeless mothers and their children while they become reestablished.
